In my last post i said that i would tell you something about the family dinner at home i had last weekend.
Salvatore (chef) works in one of the best Italian restaurants from Maastricht, Netherlands and is a good friend of my father and mother. Salvatore is born in Italy and loves to cook, so my parents asked him if he would like to make dinner for my whole family and have a nice evening with all of us.
First we went to one of the best supermarket named Felicetti in Maasmechelen, Belgium to buy a couple of typical Italian ingredients.
We first started with a carpaccio from italian raw meat, pecorino, and melanzane alla parmigiana (eggplant with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese in the oven). It was really finger licking good!
After the starter, we got a Sardine grilled with olive oil, persil, garlic and a foccacia out of the oven.
After the fresh Sardines, we got a self made from limoncello with lemon sorbet ice cream, it was really delicious and refreshing.
After this refreshment dish, we got the main dish. It was fresh baked Salmon with oven baked potatoes, olive oil, thyme and rosemary.
We had a really great time and the dinner was really fantastic, thanks to Salvatore!
